If you have a weiner, you might want to skip this post.

I got to walk Barky this morning, so you know what that means...

The Bradstein Household
is having their baby!

I got a call at 2:30 am from "Papa" saying that they were headed to the hospital. I just got another call and things are progressing smoothly. By the end of today, "3B" (Baby Boy Bradstein) should be here!

And guess what?

Today is "Mama's" birthday.

* * * * *

Today kicks off Girlie Weekend at the Liberal Banana. Some other female bloggers such as Jezer and my co-worker, Erika, have showcased our sex's love of Foot Fashion by posting pictures of their shoes. I just couldn't resist joining in.

According to my mother, I have way too many shoes and do not need more. (I always need more.) But Boyfriend is fully willing to fund my habit. He is such a lover of heels (clarify: on ME. He does not dress in drag!) that he has offered to pay for any sexy heels I want to buy - and I took him up on that offer a few weeks ago. (See the Charles David pair!)

So without further adieu, I bring you...

Shoe Collection

Note: Girlie Weekend continues tomorrow with a post on makeup. Isabel, who is a new mom, is in a post-Devil Wears Prada-watching funk and wanted to know ways to spice up her style a bit. I know that every time I watch What Not to Wear (or used to, before I cancelled my cable) I get ideas on how to do my makeup differently, just from watching someone else do it. Therefore, I'm going to post a step-by-step photo collage on my methods, in the hopes of giving someone else (Isabel!) new ideas... Have a great Friday, everyone!

23 fruit lovers (or haters) had something to say...

Oh, dear God in Heaven. Your shoe collection is DIVINE!

It's official--you are now the blog I read to reminisce about being single and childless and cool (really, y'all! I used to be cool!).

I can't wait for the makeup application edition.

mmm, shoes. love me some shoes.

And banana, are you really going to show the world your makeupless face? You're a braver woman than I! But your skin probably isn't falling off and being generally strange. gah

A girl can never have enough shoes. I love shoes. Your shoes are fabulous. Unfortunately due to my stupid new habit of marathon running I can not walk in heels without feeling complete agony. I am an idiot for giving up the shoes.

I will post my shoe collection asap! This is one photo op I can participate in (even though a stack more of my shoes are at home over the Pacific Ocean).

I have a weiner but I powered through. Of course, I don't really have any great comments about the shoes. But Happy Friday!

you have some FABULOUS shoes. I love the first heel shot how the payless ones blend right in (I bet they offer 17% of the comfort though)

I can't wait to do my shoe blogging next week! What a great idea, Jezer.

I hold a special place in my heart for Payless.
Came over from Isabel and am loving the shoe posts! I have a 3 month old AND a two year old so I'm not sure that I'll get the time to do it by I'll be damned if I don't try.
You are obviously more comfy with heals than I ever was or would be. I envy you for that.
My fav pair....the Sketchers! Love, love, love, love, LOVE them!

(I read the blog rules you go by so hear: sillyhily@gmail.com. I also wish blogger would require an e-mail to leave comments.)

Holy cow, that is a lot of shoes!! At least boyfriend is supportive of your addiction...er...habit :)The only thing I don't understand is why you can't donate the shoes labeled as "I hate these" or "These are uncomfortable"??

Those silver shoes?? We're definitely not even going to wear those again! Haha.

You could start a whole new post on that one...why it sucks being in weddings when you have to buy expensive dresses/shoes/jewelry that you will never ever wear again!!

Awww man, I didn't know we were to take pictures of all of our shoes. Crap.

I love your summer collection the best. Maybe because it's summer and I'm so into those types right now. Yummy indeed.

And I'm looking forward to the make up post. I really am.

You are a good friend for doing that for me!

I have the SAME pair of brown sneaks w/the blue stripe - TARGET rocks!!! :-)

I should post my shoe collection too...I have a serious obsession with shoes. Too bad Hubby isn't as understanding as Boyfriend. Well, actually I think he was more understanding when we were dating, before the shoe-fund started to drain his assets...haha

I LOVE the Sketchers. So cute. Actually, I enjoy most of the shoes. It just makes me sad that my feet are obnoxiously sensitive, so heels make me want to cry. That, and I'm 5'10", so I kind of tower in them. And last time I wore sexy heels, my bf hardly noticed them. Every other male in my life did. But no, I was "wearing my coat, so he couldn't see how hot I looked." Whatever. He does not deserve the pain the shoes bring.

Oooh, I love Girlie weekend. Can't wait for the makeup tips. Love the shoes. I only have one cool pair of shoes made by my friend, Louis V. Black. Scrumptious. Desire more.

Your new picture doesn't look like you. Or it doesn't look like any of your other pics. It threw me. I thought someone else had commandeered your blog. Now I must go check out these shoes everyone is yammering about...

I actually thought, from the title and the talk about a baby boy, that this was going to be about circumcision, and Banana was trying to spare us guys discomfort... not to worry - I've even done a pro-circumcision blog...

V nice shoes, Banana. My favorites are the leftmost in the Summer Shoe Collection, and the uncomfortable red ones - sorry they're uncomfortable, but they are pretty. Your boyfriend is a wise man to indulge your shoe habit.
